Gareth Southgate's Three Lions are set to take on Romania at the Riverside Stadium in their final warm up game for Euro 2020 on Sunday June 6th at 17:00. This will be the first meeting between the two countries since Romania shockingly beat England 3-2 at Euro 2000 to knock them out in the group stages.
Romania will not be participating at Euro 2020 and come into this match having lost their last three games; however, they do have an impressive overall record against England with only two defeats in 11 meetings.

Players to watch:
Mason Mount (England) - Fresh off providing the assist for the winning goal in the Champions League final for Chelsea, Mount arguably has the potential to be England's main man at Euro 2020 after what has been a stellar season at club-level.
Jude Bellingham (England) - What an exceptional player this teenager could go on to be or in fact, already is. He might only be 17-years-old, but the former Birmingham City midfielder has already shown he can perform on the big stage when playing for Borussia Dortmund. If he repeats the same standard of performance he put in against Austria, then Bellingham could be in contention to start in the Three Lions' opening game at the European Championships.
Vlad Chiriches (Romania) - Remember this underwhelming Tottenham Hotspur centre back from 2013 until 2015? He is now playing in Italy for Serie A side Sassuolo at age 31 and has 61 caps for his country to date. He may not be a promising youngster to look out for, but he is an experienced player who can organise the Romania defence.
Ianis Hagi (Romania) - At the other end of the field, the Glasgow Rangers striker could prove to be a handful for England's defence on his day. Hagi netted eight times in all competitions for Steven Gerrard's side during the 2020/21 campaign and at only 22-years-old, he still has many years ahead of him.
